Multiple sclerosis (MS), an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and the rest of the body. Cheng is the Senior Manager of Volunteer Development at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Greater Illinois Chapter, and she joins Tim Muma to talk about the different ways volunteers can help the MS Society and those affected by the disease.
