This position is located in St Louis, MO or residence based in Illinois, Minnesota or Ohio.

This position will be a core team member of Bayer Crop Science's newly established Digital Hub-an integrated Digital Media and Analytics team. We are looking for a seasoned professional with proven strategic and technical expertise in Programmatic digital media and direct digital media planning and buying with a desire to shape the future of the Digital Hub. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a great capacity to take initiative, consistently deliver above expectations, a passion for quality and continuous improvement and a willingness to work hard and be rewarded. This individual will be directly responsible for developing digital media planning, execution and optimization strategies and will assist the Digital Media Lead in assessing direct digital buy partners, as well as interpreting agency performance across programmatic and direct digital display buys.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Digital Display Media Manager, are to:

  • Establish the paid digital display media strategy for the portfolio and individual brands;
  • Develop best practices in paid digital display media across direct and programmatic buys;
  • Coordinate with cross-channel planner in the review of digital display media plans to ensure it delivers against the set strategy;
  • Assess direct digital media buy partnerships based on key business metrics, target audience data and historical performance;
  • Use existing tactics to their fullest extent and balance the use of traditional tactics with a willingness to embrace experimentation in a structured way;
  • Review digital display media performance with agencies and Marketing Communications managers and propose key in-flight optimizations;
  • Govern agency execution against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), best practices and standards for digital media;
  • Facilitate training and upskilling of Marketing Communications managers in best practices in digital display media.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least three years of Programmatic Media experience;
  • Strong knowledge of leading DSP platforms including, but not limited to, Display and Video 360 and The Trade Desk;
  • Proven record of developing processes to implement Programmatic media best practices;
  • Strong consultative approach to developing and managing business relationships;
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Success in developing media tactical plans supporting Guaranteed and Open Exchange buy types.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B industries, agriculture or commodities sector;
  • Additional online advertising experience across other paid advertising channels (e.g. Paid Social Media, Paid Search);
  • Familiarity with non-digital media best practices;

Relocation may be offered for this role.
