Job Description

The Pharmacoanalytical Shared Resource at The Ohio State University is seeking a Research Technician 2 to participate in the planning and execution of research projects; Works under the guidance of senior lab members to plan and perform biochemical procedures, including ELISAs, flow cytometry, and other quantitative bioassays; Performs FDA Bioanalytical method validation on newly developed and existing methods; Records, sorts, and prepares clinical samples, including biological tissues for analysis; Assists with administrative tasks including, but not limited to, ordering through Workday and billing through eRamp; Collects, generates, analyzes, and interprets research data; Maintains accurate and detailed research records, including a laboratory notebook; Assists with the development and implementation of new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques; Performs critical analysis of literature relevant to research being performed; Assists in the preparation of project reports, research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation; Assists in the preparation of proposals to obtain new or renewal of extramural funding in support of research; Follows established laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and local, state and federal regulations; Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in biochemistry, biology, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, biomedical engineering, or similar area. 1-2 years of training and/or experience with ligand binding assays, preferably ELISAs.

Desired Qualifications: Training and/or experience with ELISA method development, flow cytometry, clinical sample analysis, and/or FDA bioanalytical method validation.

Salary range: $13.89-$18.51
