What you'll do:

• Regularly communicate with Silgan supply plants and Silgan demand plants to ensure proper flow of material needed to cover production plan and customer requirements.
• Create purchase orders, maintain active orders, and oversee metal inventory to meet sales forecasts and internal/external customer sales requirements, ensuring there is always enough product to support manufacturing.
• Maintain regular communication with mill representatives on open and future orders.
• Manage metal flow from mills to plants and advise on delays and priorities to suppliers.
• Prepare routine reports which include projected metal ordering requirements by mill.

We need you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in business, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in supply chain, production planning, sales, or related field.
• Expert-level time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and thrive in a demanding environment.
• Proficient working in an ERP system (JD Edwards, SAP, JDE, Visual etc.).
• Developed analytical skills, ability to interpret data, and develop advanced Excel reports.
